Airpods are an innovative and revolutionary technology that offers users a number of benefits. They are portable, convenient, and wireless. The pain and annoyance that comes with wire headphones is inconvenient. They also aren’t as aesthetically pleasing as Airpods. As with any technology, sometimes problems can occur. Below you will find the most common Airpod problems and how to troubleshoot them.

Common Airpods Problems

Airpods offer a number of amazing benefits. They are user-friendly, sleek, and compact. Sometimes you may run into issues with your AirPods. Many of these can be easily addressed without issue. Consider the following problems you may run into with your AirPods.

Connectivity Issues

Connectivity issues are common with Airpods and are easy to address. Make sure your AirPods are fully charged, as that is a common cause of connectivity issues. If your AirPods won’t connect to your iPhone, put them back in the charging case. Wait at least 15 seconds, take them out, and try reconnecting to your phone again. If that doesn’t work, open the control center on your phone and tap the top right corner. Tap the “now playing” box and choose your AirPods.

If these options don’t work, try resetting your AirPods and pairing them again. Push the setup button on the back of the case for 15 seconds until the light flashes. Make sure both of your AirPods are in the case when you do this. Once done, open your Airpod case and try pairing them again.

Battery Drains Too Fast

Keeping your Airpods charged is key to ensuring they are always there when you need them. If you use your AirPods all day, they may be low on battery by the end of the day. However, if you are using them regularly throughout the day, consider optimizing your AirPods battery life. Leave “automatic ear detection” on. This will pause your AirPods when you take them out of your ear.

If that doesn’t solve your problem, see how clean your AirPods are. Dirty Airpods can impact the proximity sensor. Ear wax and other debris can easily build up over time. It’s beneficial to clean your AirPods weekly. If the problem still occurs, consider getting a battery replacement for your AirPods or their case.

Charging Issues

Charging your AirPods is key to ensuring they consistently work. You may experience some issues with your AirPods if they are dirty. Dirty Airpods and a dirty case can impact their ability to charge. The charging port is often the culprit. Use an Airpod cleaning kit or a paper clip to clean the port hole.

An effective way to keep your AirPods clean is to protect them with Airpods Pro cases. Just like your phone and other electronics, high-performance phone and tablet cases can easily protect your AirPods. Regularly cleaning your Airpods, the case, and protecting them with a case is necessary. It can ensure your AirPods last and increase the longevity of their lifespan.

Static or Patchiness

Airpods that have sound issues like static or patchiness can be easily addressed. A common cause of sound issues is that you are too far away from the source. Airpods have a range of roughly 100 feet. However, the sound quality can be impacted the further you move away beyond 100 feet.

The source you are connected to can easily be the reason why you experience sound issues. If your AirPods are connected to your iPhone, this is likely not an issue. You can easily keep your phone with you to avoid sound issues. However, if you are connected to your Mac, it can be more difficult. This is because walls or other obstacles can easily impact the sound quality of your AirPods.
